According to the European harmonized product standards, a declaration of performance (DoP) must be drawn up for construction products. The manufacturer confirms that his declared product features are similar to the declaration of performance.

Finger-jointed KVH® must be provided with the CE mark acc. to the harmonized product standard EN 15497; non-finger-jointed KVH® according to DIN EN 14081-1.

The members of the Überwachungsgemeinschaft Konstruktionsvollholz e.V. monitor the quality of their products through internal controls (self-monitoring) and additional monitoring by independent institutes. This applies not only to the characteristics required by the building regulations, but also to additional requirements from the agreement on construction timber. Only such supervised timber, produced by the members of Überwachungsgemeinschaft Konstruktionsvollholz e.V., may be marked with the internationally protected KVH® trademark.
